Bread company could lose dough over improper labeling

The Ohio Department of Agriculture recently discovered an inconsistency while inspecting the Thomas Star Bakery of Ohio LLC firm. Buns Bread, made using milk and eggs, failed to mention these ingredients on the packaging. Both of these ingredients are known allergens that have the potential to cause significant health problems to those who suffer adverse reactions from their consumption. This can cause issues for quite a few people.

The company issued a voluntary recall and anyone who bought the product over a roughly 10-month period can bring the product back to the store for a refund. However, if this big reveal of an error on the part of the company clues consumers into a reason they may have been sick after consuming the deceptively labeled product, there could be a greater pursuit of more than a refund.

Allergic reactions can affect people in different ways, and the level of cost associated with recovery can vary accordingly.

If you or a loved one has suffered adversely from a consumer good that was incorrectly or inappropriately labeled, you may have a case for compensation. Manufacturers and distributors or anyone profiting off of a product has a duty to provide a safe product. Straying from that endeavor can be costly to the injured consumer as well as those who were negligent with a product. A product liability attorney in Ohio may be able to walk you through the process of seeking remuneration and may be able to prevent others from continuing to get ill.
