Fatalities in Ohio car accident

A night out driving on the highway ended in a horrific accident for three individuals. While there are still many questions that need answering in this particular event, one thing is clear: the car accident resulted in the death of two adults and injuries to a teenager. Ohio Highway Patrol are still trying to piece together the events leading up to this tragedy.

The incident occurred after a 61-year-old male, driving the wrong direction on a local highway, struck another vehicle carrying a 57-year-old female and a 15-year-old male. Both adults were pronounced dead before they could be transported for treatment. The teenager was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. His current condition is unknown.

This accident closed the westbound lanes of the highway for several hours for cleanup crews and local authorities to work the scene. This event is still under investigation and police have not released a statement relating to the overall cause of the crash. The only thing they have reported is that the driver responsible was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision.

A car accident can be physically, emotionally and financially difficult to overcome for the victims and families involved. While the driver responsible for this accident may not have survived, those who are feeling the negative effects of his apparent actions may pursue both personal injury and wrongful death claims against his estate to recovery any financial loss they have endured related to this event. A civil court in Ohio could award the surviving victim and family members financial compensation, which can be beneficial in covering medical, funeral and any other expenses that may result from this tragic incident.
