Hit and run car accident led to tragic death

When a person gets behind the wheel of a car in Ohio he or she does not expect that it will be for the last time. While most people understand that driving is a risk, it is not normally at the forefront of a person's mind. When a person sets out on a trip or errand, he or she expects to return. Sadly, an unexpected car accident can happen at any time.

In a recent crash, a truck appeared to intentionally steer into a car that was attempting to pass. The truck caused the car to crash into an electric pole. The gentleman who was driving the car died as a result of his injuries.

The accident occurred on Route 35. The gentleman driving the truck has been identified. He is charged with a felony and a misdemeanor for being involved in an accident that causes death or injury. The felony count is for leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

When a loved one is involved in a fatal car accident in Ohio, the shock and grief ensuing from the tragedy can be overwhelming. No amount of compensation will be able to bring the loved one back, but when a family's grief begins to subside, they may want to look for answers as to why and how such an accident occurred. Having a conversation with an experienced personal injury attorney may prove beneficial, and a knowledgeable attorney can help advise them of available legal options. A successfully litigated claim may help with medical costs, funeral expenses and pain and suffering.
