Car accidents continue to affect the lives of road users in Ohio. Just recently, there was an accident involving multiple vehicles in the state. The car accident occurred a couple of hours before midnight and involved four vehicles, seriously injuring a woman who was one of the drivers.
Officials reported that the car accident happened when the woman was following her teenage son, who was also driving his own car. The two came to a stop by the side of the highway when a third vehicle slammed into the rear of the woman's vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the woman's vehicle to push into the back of her son's vehicle, sending it off the south side of the road. The third vehicle ended up driving over the woman's car, pushing it into a ditch and forcing it into a tree before finally coming to a stop on top of it.
Following the car accident, the woman was stuck in her car. Emergency respondents had to first free her before airlifting her in a medical helicopter to a nearby hospital to get medical assistance. They reported that she was in critical condition. They treated her son at the scene for minor injuries and then released him. Driving a fourth vehicle that was also involved in the accident was yet another woman who was able to walk away uninjured. Her vehicle sustained damage from accident debris.
The car accident remains under investigation. Sometimes negligence plays a role in causing car crashes. Drivers must exercise reasonable care on roads. The advice of an attorney from Columbus, Ohio, might prove useful. Attorneys may help you seek compensation if you suspect the accident was a result of someone else's negligence.
