A car accident can be a difficult time for family members and loved ones. When multiple members of the family are involved in the same car accident, the situation can be even more complicated. A recent accident in Ohio has left many devastated after three lives were taken as a result of the crash.
According to reports, a woman driving an SUV left her lane of travel and hit another SUV carrying nine individuals. The woman and her 9-month-old son were both taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the other SUV was killed, as well as his wife who was sitting in the passenger's seat. An 11-year-old occupant was thrown from the vehicle and also killed.
The remaining passengers, ranging in age from 9 months to 11 years old, were transported to nearby medical facilities for various injuries. At least four of the children were transported via helicopter. There was no mention of potential charges, but as with any serious crash, a full investigation will likely be conducted.
As surviving relatives are trying to deal with the loss of two family members and the injuries of many others as a result of this horrific car accident, taking legal action may be the last thing on their mind. However, medical and burial expenses are sure to quickly add up -- which could cause additional stress on family members as they are trying to focus on taking care of their loved ones. Filing a civil suit in Ohio in order to receive monetary compensation could prove beneficial in order to have the necessary funds for medical bills, burial expenses and to be able to provide for the future needs of the children who have lost both parents in one fatal car collision.
